As¡¡the¡¡enemy¡¡was¡¡recoiling¡¡from¡¡his¡¡first¡¡attack£»¡¡I¡¡received¡¡a

message¡¡from¡¡Rosecrans¡¡telling¡¡me¡¡that¡¡he¡¡was¡¡making¡¡new

dispositions£»¡¡and¡¡directing¡¡me¡¡to¡¡hold¡¡on¡¡where¡¡I¡¡was¡¡until¡¡they¡¡were
